Yes, you heard correctly: Earth's classiest ice cream flavor has just been announced, and it's kind of a big deal. Just in time for fans to fatten up before the December 20 release of "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," Scotchy Scotch Scotch hits freezer shelves across these fine United States.
A tribute to Ron Burgundy himself, the new flavor is described in a press release as a "creamy concoction of butterscotch ice cream with ribbons of butterscotch swirl."
Sounds almost too scotchy to be true.
The flavor was officially unveiled at New York City's Pier 36 last night, complete with an appearance by Nutty the Waterskiing squirrel, a Ben and Jerry's ice cream truck full made-over as a San Diego Channel 4 news van and a legion of mustachioed Ron Burgundy wannabes in the anchorman's signature burgundy leisure suit serving out ice cream to onlookers, because of course.
The fun continued this morning, when not one but two super-quoatable new trailers for the flick were released. (The UK is special and deserves its own trailer, k?)
For those poor lactose intolerant souls among you ("milk was a bad choice"), don't fret — Scotchy Scotch Scotch is a limited batch flavor, and won't be around to taunt you for too long. Plus, you can train up on your triton-throwing skills while the rest of us gorge ourselves on this scotch-tastic flavor.
